As Olympic Volunteers, there are a few perks that we benefit from. Although flight, accommodation and other costs associated with a trip away from home are at our own expense, VANOC will equip us with a pass for public transit, a meal during the shift, and - of course - uniforms.
The uniform was revealed in Oct. 2009 and it consists of the following:
- Waterproof jacket in vibrant blue called wave
- Mountain pants in navy
- Toque
- 2 x Long-sleeve inner-layer shirts
- Vest
... all designed by the Hudson's Bay Company. The clothing is made out of eco-friendly bamboo, cotton and spandex (shirts), acrylic (toque), polyester (vest), and nylon with polyurethane coating (jacket and mountain pants). Pretty neat, no? I think so...
Are you wondering what the volunteer uniforms look like?
